Curry in a hurry? Don’t mind if I do…
Our delicious Nowt Poncy® Curry Sauce is a simple base to which you can add your favourite vegetables, meats, prawns or fish. It’s nothing like you will find at your local takeaway, and it’s a traditional Indian recipe.
Just simple ingredients and some fresh chillies to add a little kick. Fresh chopped coriander is added at the end of cooking to add another layer of flavour – it’s delicious!
Just like our Nowt Poncy® Tomato & Basil Sauce it’s great for the waistline AND it’s GLUTEN FREE, vegetarian and vegan friendly too!
Believe it or not, we have been told that our curry sauce is “the best I have ever tasted from a jar” and “the best Bradford style curry since I left Bradford – IN A JAR!“. It’s even being eaten cold with tortilla’s as a curry dip/salsa. Not how we envisioned it, but hey, we’ll take it!

Spicy Arrabbiatta – the Pasta Sauce with a Kick
So arrabbiata means angry in Italian and it’s because of the chillies that give it heat and the red of the tomatoes. Our Nowt Poncy® Arrabbiata Sauce has some ooomph by means of fresh red chillies to wake up those taste buds with a little picante tickle. We’ve always been told if your going to make something spicy – make it spicy. You can always add some lovely cheese and dare I say it, some lovely Primitivo wine from Apuglia).
We use it as a salsa with tortillas as a snack or on crusty fresh Italian bread. In any way, a little Pecorino Romano, Grand Padano or if you are vegan, some lovely Good Carma or Bute Island Foods Sheeze sprinkles over the top it’s delicious.

Big Easy Creole Sauce
Our brand new Nowt Poncy® Big Easy Creole Sauce is here. Inspired by the cooking in New Orleans our Creole is AMAZING with chorizo and prawns or chicken. It’s simple to prepare and has only 30 kcals/100g. It’s simply delicious.
We were gobsmacked when we got the nutritionals back. What’s a Creole I hear to shout?
Well at one end of the Cajun cooking scale is Gumbo, a soup or broth. At the other is Jambalaya which is cooked with rice much like a paella. Creole sits in the middle and whilst it has some spice it’s very subtle and is served over rice.
Ours is a red Creole because it’s got tomatoes in it which is how it’s served in New Orleans. Green Creole is a more rural, earthy food served in homes out in the bayou’s. We think it’s a winner and hope you do too. You can have it ready in under 20 minutes so it’s ultra easy to prepare.
